mitsuketa!?

Have you heard? They think they've found Noah's ark in Iran. I first read about the story on watch.org, then saw the pictures and video here. Fascinating stuff. I can't wait to read and hear more...

TBC

Nothing new to report...so I'll post!
I played guitar for Tokyo Baptist on Saturday and Sunday; they have five services. That's right; Saturday night at 7:00, Sunday at 9:00, 11:00, 1:30, 3:30, and 2-3 hours of rehearsal before the service on Sabado. My fingers are killing me! It was, however, worth every minute of soft, painful fretting (what a wonderful pun); not just for the privelege of assisting in worship, but for the fellowship between music sets.
Everyone in the praise band goes to the choir room after playing and singing, which gives me the opportunity to talk to my fellow band-mates. This time, apart from small group, is the only time available to fellowship for me at TBC (Tokyo Baptist Church). The attendance is so high for the relatively small sanctuary that they've had to make this many services until they can get a new building. There is no time to stay and talk after church, and most people in Japan don't just "hang out" somewhere afterwards; once they leave the church, they're gone. That's just the nature of living so far away from the house of worship; everyone has to get home.
I'm playing once a month right now. There are enough guitarists to allow that kind of circulation, which is great; I want to see my wife, and rehearsal to the last service pretty much cuts out my weekend with her.
Speaking of spending time with my wife...gotta go!
